Bát Thị Phong Độngs "Cả Thế Giới Đều Cho Rằng Tôi Học Ngu" tells the story of Lộc Hành Ngâm, a teenager living in a small village in Giang Nam. At the age of fifteen, Ngâm learns that he is the biological child of a wealthy family who had been separated... from him. Unfazed by his newfound status, Ngâm feels superior to his adoptive family and believes that even if he comes from a rich background, he still lacks proper education.

His adoptive family pretends to care by giving him a set of review materials and test papers, thinking that he couldnt afford them before. But Ngâm receives the gift calmly and thanks them. Later on, they see that Ngâm has old and worn-out English books in his possession, including "The Art of Writing Organic Reaction Mechanisms."
